Wedding Photography

Nice to know information for a photographer to create the best result of wedding photography, whether pre-wedding and can-did photo. A photographer should concern to many things such as :

1. Stamina

It will takes so much energy when you have to do a photo on wedding session. So had a good rest, good meals, and also support by vitamins, can restore your stamina for doing wedding photography.

2. Prepare the gears

It's the important things to consider. A Photographer should prepare anything that will be needed, even the small things. For example, the battery. In so many cases, a photographer has forgotten to bring an extra battery. As we know, that battery is the power supply for the camera and flash light. So without that “small things” the photographer can’t do anything for doing wedding photography. There are many gears that should be consider of to make a good wedding photography, such as :

> SLR camera with a big name branded for suggestion like Nikon or Canon. It will be easier for the photographer to had the accessories or third party items of camera if they used branded names camera

> An external Speed Light / Flash Light that suits the camera. More wide the light coverage of your speedlight will helps you a lot to find the best result. An omni bounce will helps you also to reduce the light become softer. Also carry an extra battery for the camera and Speed Light / Flash Light and bring their battery charger

> The strong tripod that suits your camera. Never let your tripod can't restrain the weight of your camera. Again, branded names of tripod will be suggested

> Wide lens coverage > 10 mm and Tele lens coverage > 70mm. But also brings a small bag to carry the lens.

> Camera pocket / Prosumer camera as the backup if anything “bad” happens while we’re doing action on wedding photography, such as our main gear do not working properly. It really helps us to avoid capturing the moments.

> Note book computer / external HD Drive to save the files

> An extra memory card will be needed if you don't have a note book or external HDD. It will be nice if you may separate them into several pieces. For example 1 GB memory card into 2 pieces 512 Kb. Just to avoid if your 1 GB memory card had an error. And don't forget to pack your memory card after used into their box case.

> Lens cleaner / clean soft cloth to wipe our gear

> Think about your own necessity. For example, your can bring your own drinks. Just in case if you've got thirsty. So you can focus on your job. But one thing for sure, be a pro, never ate or drinks anything while you are doing wedding photography, or at least wait until the house host let you.

3. Prepare any other things

> Consider to work with more than one photographer. More photographer working with you, will make your job easier and will maximal the results

> Camera settings. To avoid you lost any moments on the wedding day, you prefer to set your camera not on MANUAL settings. But try to use AV or TV mode that you can adjust only on shutter speed or aperture. Or don't be ashamed to set your camera on fully automatic mode

> Focus on your job. Make a list and be cooperate with the family coordinator or the wedding organizer. If you work all alone, make sure that 85% of your shoots focus on bridegroom

> Try to shoots details.
